What is your refund policy?
If you request a refund 48 hours prior to the first session you will receive a full refund of any monies paid. Once class has started we will allow you to reschedule as long as you can complete the course within 6 months of your original start date.
Is there a fee for not showing up for a drive? Canceling the drive late?
There is no fee if you cancel your drive at least 24 hours in advance of the scheduled drive.
Missing a drive impacts more than just yourself. The other student misses observation time and the drive car now has to make an additional drive to make up for the drive you missed. This is especially impactful on drives where we swap student drivers at a point other than the school were the drive started. (drives 4 & 5 in Saint Helens, for example).
Each drive has a no show/late cancellation fee based on impact to drive partner and time/distance of the drive.
What are your driving policies?
Students will be expected to come to class prepared and to participate in every session. That means they should:
Any student who (in the opinion of the instructor) appears to be impaired or otherwise unprepared to drive will not be allowed to participate in the behind-the-wheel session and will be charged a rescheduling fee.
How do I cancel or change my scheduled drive?
We know life happens and drive times can be impacted. Because you drive with a partner, your change may affect them as well, so we recommend you coordinate with your partner to identify an alternate timeslot. Please contact us at least 24 hours before your drive to avoid a change fee.
How long will it take me to get my license?
Driver Education training includes a minimum of 30 hours of Classroom lessons, 6 hours behind the wheel instruction, 6 hours of driving observation, and a minimum of 5 hours supervised drive time with your parent, guardian, or adult licensed driver. Approximately 2 weeks after the before mentioned requirements are completed successfully, you will receive a certificate of completion that is redeemable at DMV upon turning 16 years old.
Completing the requirements typically takes 7-12 weeks.
Do I need a driving permit to sign up for Driver Ed?
Yes, part of registration includes providing your permit number.
